[edit] Spoiler Warning
How about a fucking spoiler warning on this page--Akaces23 01:38, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- Done, but you could have done it your fucking self :). Cpt. Morgan (Reinoutr) 13:00, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- why should there even be a spoiler warning? this is an encyclopedia, people are supposed to expect spoilers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.0.90.192 (talk) 03:06, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Yep, this is not a thread in a gamefaqs forum, it's supposed to provide a comprehensive knowledge of the game. So yeah it's REDUNDANT to say that it has spoilers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Twinscythe (talk • contribs) 16:56, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Release Date Change?
So I went to EB to get a preorder on July 12th, and the clerk (and the computer system) said it was coming out in... September...
Now, I haven't seen anywhere online that jives with this, and Future Shop has the July 18th date as well. Is EB being stupid, or has there really been a delay that someone can confirm?
- He said what? EB's site says it's coming out on the 18th of July, as do:
- GameFAQS
- Gamespot
- Square Enix
- Ya, it's more then likely gonna be out this week! T ConX 14:36, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
-
- Yeah, the shipping date was the 18th, and it came out today (the 19th). I have my copy right here so it's definately not being moved to September. The clerk must have been thinking of Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria which indeed has a September release date set at the moment. --24.110.228.199 22:09, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Merge Proposal
It seems rather silly for Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth to have it's own page when it's essentially a straight port with minor differences from the original... Though perhaps the Valkyrie Profile page should be merged TO this page to keep in line with SquareEnix's rebranding? They might just make a third game and that would leave the base page open for general series information. Lankybugger 18:34, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Anime sequences
I have not played the PSP version of the game yet, but I was wondering if it included the original's anime intro movie and ending or if those were replaced with CG movies, as well. If anyone knows the answer, could you please add it to the article?--Hailinel 23:55, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don't have a source on-hand, so I'll just respond here. From what I've read, the original anime FMVs have been replaced by CG sequences. This includes the intro and ending.
- Unfortunately this is seen by some as an improvement -- Like digitally remastering Raiders of the Lost Ark by replacing the entire film with New and Improved CG graphics.
- I just threw up a little. -Etafly 03:13, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
The PSP version does indeed use CGI movies right the way through, although I think a few cutscenes (e.g. Lezard's tower) are anime. I can't compare them with the PSX version but the quality is quite good, particularly Jelanda's. Wiki-Ed 12:23, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Just to clear up what seems to be confusion: There are no, absolutely zero, Anime cutscenes in the PSP version of Valkyrie Profile. In the PSX version, there were two: the opening introduction and the game's A ending. Both of these cutscenese have been replaced with CGI movies, along with the addition of other CGI movies at different points in the game. -Anonymous Tipster 19:05, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Plot section
I was wondering why there's a plot section in the Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria section and not here.
VP1 events were much more convoluted than VP2 and it makes even less sense that they completely explained VP2 but not VP1 in here.
And I would contribute but I know nothing of VP1. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Twinscythe (talk • contribs) 16:59, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Requested move
- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was move. JPG-GR (talk) 20:43, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth → Valkyrie Profile — Valkyrie Profile is the original name for this game. Lenneth is the subtitle for only the PSP port. Also WP:VG/NAME tells to "always use the original official title of the game". —Mika1h (talk) 19:44, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Discussion
- Any additional comments:
Question; what, then, to do with the disambig page that is currently at Valkyrie Profile? Move it to Valkyrie Profile (disambiguation)? Is that acceptable to everyone? There does appear to be consensus to move this page, so once this relatively minor issue is worked out, I can go ahead and move the page. Parsecboy (talk) 22:00, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
