Note: Though it states in the Guide to writing better articles that generally fictional articles should be written in present tense, all Tolkien legendarium-related articles that cover in-universe material must be written in past tense. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Middle-earth/Standards for more information about this and other article standards.
I am not sure how folks feel about the 'notes' interspersed within the synopsis. I put them in because I thought they were useful, especially as Valaquenta is otherwise one of the more 'biblical' stories - along with the discussions of land and language, it can give some readers the 'leviticus-numbers' heebee jeebees. The notes seek to aid the reader in connecting Valaquenta and its contents with the larger, better known episodes of Middle-earth history. At any rate, I am interested to see what others think. For the most part, it's useful information, although it should be integrated more smoothly into the rest of the article. I'll see what I can do when I have more time. --DachannienTalkContrib 06:24, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
