[edit] Your featured picture nomination
Vaeiou, I've had to remove your nomination for featured picture. It's a very nice image, but unfortunately Fair Use images cannot become featured, as it states on the FPC page: "Images listed here should be either in the public domain or covered by the GNU Free Documentation License or a similar license. Since an image gallery is of limited educational value (a requirement for fair use) fair use images are not appropriate candidates for inclusion in the featured pictures gallery." I'm very sorry I had to do this since it was a great picture, but I'm afraid copyright rules are ones we have to follow. I hope that you'll keep contributing to Featured Pictures, and if you see a worthy picture with a free licence please don't hesitiate to nominate it. Thanks. Raven4x4x 05:36, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
- That's fine. I reread the FPC page after I posted. Thanks for moving it. --vaeiou 21:10, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
