Vadakkumangudi is a village in Thanjavur District, in India. It is situated in the between Thanjavur and Kumbakonam and 5 km from Ayyampet.
As of 2001 India census, Vadakkumangudi had a population of 1300. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 42%. Vadakkumangudi has an average literacy rate of 80%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 85%, and female literacy is 75%. In Vadakkumangudi, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
It has two Muslim mosques and two Hindu temples.
