As of 2001 India census[2], Vada had a population of 14,291. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Vada has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 66%. In Vada, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Vada is having two known colleges namely P. J. College and Swami Vivekanad college. Its a place known for good politicians also.
