Vacon was established in 1993 to produce variable speed AC drives.

The production and distribution processes are based upon networking and mass customization. Vacon itself only carries out the parts of the work that belong to its core competence. As an independent supplier, Vacon provides its products under its own brand label and also under the brands of its OEM and brand label customers.
