[edit] User page
Hi,
I copied the information about yourself to your user page. On your user page you put information about yourself. Your discussion page (or "talk page") is for discussion.
Again - consider yourself adopted and feel free to ask me anything! --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 11:36, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hi...Like u said On ur user Page am continuing our conversation here...
- Another doubt i had...Suppose someone has vandalised a page and erased all the Data on it is it possible for any ordinary member like me to recover all the erased data? Or is it done only by admin's like urself?

- Also..How do i know that a specific user is online or not? -- V.siddhesh (talk) 04:56, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

- Good - conversations should be held on the same page. To make them even easier to read, add : in the beginning of every paragraph.
- If you see that someone made a bad edit to any page, feel free to fix it immediately. Bad edits include: deleting all or some information with a bad explanation or without an explanation at all, inserting wrong or made-up information. Deleting all information from the article is almost certainly vandalism - the right way to delete an article is to use the instructions at Wikipedia:Articles for Deletion (shortcut: WP:AFD).
- To read full explanation about fixing a vandalized page, see this: Help:Reverting. you don't understand something, feel free to ask me.
- Admins are not very different from regular users. We can delete complete pages and block vandals, but editing pages is open to everyone. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 08:48, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
thanks a lot for your answers...Will follow the guidelines in the links you have given...
However the one question which u might have missed out in My queries is how to know when a felow user like yourself is online. Is there any means of finding out such things? -- V.siddhesh (talk) 14:41, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, i'm sorry for missing this!
- There is no sure way to know that a user is "online" - Wikipedia is not ICQ :)
- What you can do is to check the user's contributions. Go to his user page, and click "User contributions" in the toolbox on the left. Look at the dates and the times of the user's recent contributions - they appear at the top. If you see that the user contributed in the last few minutes, then there's a chance that he is looking at Wikipedia and will, for example, receive the orange "new messages" notification if you write him a message at the talk page. But you can't really be sure. If a user isn't browsing Wikipedia at the moment, he will receive the new messages notification the next time he opens Wikipedia.
- A few users use a "status bot" to show that they are online, but you can't be sure about its results, either. I never tried it myself, 'cause i don't think that it's really needed. See here: User:Chris G Bot 3.
- If you need to contact a user urgently for some reason, you can try sending an e-mail - click E-mail this user in the toolbox on the left. I use it very rarely, because talk pages are usually enough. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 16:13, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Hi
- Thank you for the compliment, Mr. siddhesh! If you want me to design your pages like that, let me know. No, if you join a WikiProject or Task Force, you have the option of copying the userbox. it is optional. Once again, thank you for the compliment, and coem to me if you have questions about your userpage. ♥Shapiros10WuzHere♥ 13:18, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
