V. gimnazija

V. gimnazija (V. Gymnasium, 5. Gymnasium) is a high school in Zagreb, Croatia specialising in mathematics. It opened its doors on 7 November 1938. Today it has about 800 students in 24 classes.
It is known as one of the best schools in Zagreb, even in Croatia. It has a developed students' council and web team.
In 2007 the school's team of programmers won first prize in the international TopCoder High School Championship at Purdue University, and one of its students, Ivo Sluganovic, won second prize in the individual event.[1] Pupils have also taken part in the International Mathematical Olympiad, where they have received one silver and two bronze medals, the International Chemistry Olympiad, where they have received one bronze medal, and the International Physics Olympiad.[2]
