V. Mapa LRT Station is a station on the Manila LRT Purple Line (MRT-2). V. Mapa station is one of the many elevated stations that can be found on the line. The station is located in Santa Mesa in Manila and is named because of its location on V. Mapa Street. During the line's planning stages, the station's working name was Araneta due to its location on G. Araneta Avenue.
V. Mapa station is the fourth station for trains headed to Santolan and the eighth station for trains headed to Recto. It is the closest station within Manila city limits to the border with Quezon City before entering San Juan.
The most famous landmark near the station is SM Centerpoint (now SM City Santa Mesa). Although the mall was named after Santa Mesa in Manila, the mall actually lies within the city limits of Quezon City.

Because of its location near SM Centerpoint, the station is served by jeepneys, buses and taxis which can be used to navigate in and around the area.
