V K Duggal, formally India's Water Resources Secretary, is as of March 2005 the current Indian Union Home Secretary succeeding Dhirendra Singh. Mr.Duggal was born on 26 November 1944.Belongs to U.T. cadre as well as the former advisor of Chandigarh.

Mr.Duggal is known to have striking resemblance to Bollywood actor Boman Irani. Duggal has held a variety of posts after a stint as a short service commission officer in the Army.

He had a trouble-free stint in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi as commissioner between 1996-2000. It was there that his networking skills with both Bharatiya Janata Party and Indian National Congress politicians were honed.

He gained fame when he organised a massive civic reception for then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the Red Fort, during his tenure.
