V. J. Trolio

V.J. Trolio is an author, inventor, golf instructor, and competitive golfer from West Point, Mississippi.

Trolio is a Putting Arc co-inventor. V.J. is the current teaching pro at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi, site of the 1999 Women's Open and the 2006 Women's Mid-Amateur.

He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. He also played for four years on the USM golf team. V.J. set the season low scoring average his senior year and was only USM golfer to ever qualify for the NCAA Championship.

He also has twice won the Assistant Pro Sectional Championship and finished second in the national championship in 2003.V.J. has worked with many junior golfers, including two state high school champions in the last three years, as well as the current Mississippi Junior State Champion in the 14/15 age group.

Trolio is his best know for his work and contributions to the game of golf with his insights into the golf putting stroke. Specifically, his research culminated into the invention of the Putting Arc ([1]). The Putting Arc is training device that over 700 professional golfers use.

Trolio has authored a book about the legendary golfer Ben Hogan entitled The Final Missing Piece of Ben Hogan's Puzzle([2]) This book was published with the cooperation of the heirs to the estate of Ben and Valerie Hogan. All of their royalties will go toward the newly established Ben Hogan Foundation, a non-profit foundation for the betterment of golf and the support of charities which reflect Ben Hogan's core values.
