Víkingur Gøta is a new football club, that resulted from the merging of GÍ Gøta and Leirvík ÍF in 2008.[1] Most of the squad is from former GÍ, but some players from LÍF have been promoted as well. It is based in Gøta, Faroe Islands, Denmark.
