[edit] Ludowika Jakobsson
I corrected the spellings in your article Ludowika Jakobsson. The word meaning inhabitant of Finland is spelled "Finnish" with two n's. "Finish" means to stop. I also deleted the category Finish figure skaters and replaced it with Finnish figure skaters.

[edit] Herma Szabo
Hello Uwe. Could you help me with this article? I have a few questions about Herma's mother and father, questions you may be able to answer because you understand German better than I do.
Are Christine von Szabo and Christine Schäfer the same person? (See Karl Schäfer.) Is Herma their child? I have been referencing all the relevant articles in English and German, as well as http://www.engelmann.co.at/k_history.htm, but I can't figure it out.
Also, am I missing anything major from de:Herma Szabo?
Thank you for any help you can give! --Fang Aili talk 18:17, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
The wife of Karl Schäfer was Christine Schäfer. She was the daughter of Eduard Engelmann jr., the owner of the Vienna-Hernals ice rink. Christine von Szabo is the sister of him, Eduard Englemann jr., so both women are two different persons. Christine von Szabo is the mother of Herma Szabo. I have no clue why the "von" got lost. Herma Szabo was obviously several times merried, thats why there are so many permutations of her name. So in the German article I decided to put her just under de:Herma Szabo. Eduard Engelmann jr. is son of Eduard Engelmann senior. What else do you need to know about Herma Szabo? I do not really understand your question. The link is refering to the correct German article. - Sorry, I missed your response. I'll look at this thing again later on. Good job with the junior worlds page! --Fang Aili talk 14:40, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
Great translation on figure skater. wow. Could you alos translate Hermann Schulz? and expand Ingrid Lehmann Ernst Stavro Blofeld 15:20, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
Not particularly interested like to broaden my interests! Ernst Stavro Blofeld 20:34, 2 September 2006 (UTC) Sure I can translate, however Hermann did not win any international medal. He is certainly interesting from the German perspective. Are you sure I shoud add him to the english wiki? I would love to expand the article about Ingrid Lehmann, but do not have really more material. End of September I will be at the Nebelhorntrophy in Oberstdorf. Unlikely but hopefully I can collect some facts. Uwe Langer 15:30, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Germany
Hi Uwe Langer,
User:Badbilltucker has proposed creating a WikiProject for articles related to Germany. Since you seem to speak German pretty well and to contribute to Germany-related articles, I was wondering if you would be interested in helping with this project. If you want to know more about the proposal you can check the temporary project page or the List of proposed projects.--CarabinieriTTaallkk 10:43, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re: German Figure Skating Championships
I'm not calling you a monster. :) Saying in the edit summary (and so in the history) what the source is doesn't count as citing the source. Please put a ==References== section at the bottom of the page with the information about the brochure. See WP:Cite for more information. Awartha 22:10, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- Fabulous sources. Thanks. :) Cheers, Awartha 07:57, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

- Thank you for the tip. I did not know the article but I do know the history. My family came from this area the article talks about. I said my piece. However, I am probably not really neutral. .... But I could not find your opinion. Uwe Langer 21:17, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] re: Help for figure skating bios requested
Hi. I'm not sure what you're asking. There's nothing wrong with stubs, it just means that the article is short and should be expanded. Kolindigo 21:48, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] re: Figure Skating
Hey. :) I find a lot of new skating articles in one of two ways: either by already having the red link on my watchlist, or by clicking on the "contribs" link next to a name. As for results pages, I would love it if you made them! It's hard for me to find online results for competitions that took place before 1999 and I think it would be wonderful to have those results on wikipedia. But, hey, if you don't have time, no pressure. :) Kolindigo 01:13, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

The task force dedicated to creating and improving articles on all German cities and municipalities is happy to announce that there are now (at least) stub articles for all municipalities of Germany. Now the task force is looking for help in fleshing these out a little bit. The current phase of activity for the task force is to copy in infoboxes from the articles in German Wikipedia. If you want to help, even just for a few articles, look at the instructions and links here
There are now way over 26.000 articles tagged as part of our Wikiproject and many still need either an importance or a quality assessment. Also there are many more out there that do need to be tagged like approx 8000 municipalities. If you would like to help take a browse through Articles needing Importance assessment or Articles needing a basic quality assessment. |
