Unfortunately, it seems that nobody at the University can recall who was the name of the president in 1984-5. I'm surprised that no record exists of the various exec, SRC, Governors' etc meetings. I hope someone's memory will be jogged if I say it could have been either Ian Marsh (second term?) or Tom Balls. Funny name, but true. I seem to recall he was the popular sabbatical ents sec the year before. Ohconfucius 01:57, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
