Template:Uw-sanctions/doc
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Usage
This template message serves to inform disruptive editors about general sanctions applicable to the area of conflict that they edit in. The topic
parameter is required, and determines the links provided by the template:
Usage | Area of conflict | Decision linked to |
---|---|---|
{{subst:uw-sanctions|topic=a-i}} | The Arab-Israeli conflict | Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Palestine-Israel articles#Final decision |
{{subst:uw-sanctions|topic=a-a}} | Armenia-Azerbaijan and related ethnic conflicts | Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan 2#Final decision |
{{subst:uw-sanctions|topic=b}} | The Balkans | Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Macedonia#Final decision |
{{subst:uw-sanctions|topic=9/11}} | The September 11, 2001 attacks | Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/September 11 conspiracy theories#Final decision |
The template should be accompanied by an individualised message, which can be either appended or provided through a separate template message. The template is intentionally worded to apply only after an editor begins to misbehave; preemptive warnings are considered hostile.
Additionally, a specific article may be specified using the first unnamed parameter, and any additional text may be specified using the second unnamed parameter. For example: {{subst:uw-sanctions|t=9/11|9/11 Commission|Specifically, please review [[WP:NPOV]].}}
