Template:Uw-confuser

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you will enjoy contributing to the encyclopedia.

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed that the username you have chosen is very confusing. It makes it difficult to uniquely identify you, or it has the potential to be impersonated without this being easily detectable. This could be because it is extremely lengthy, or consists of a long, random-looking string of characters. In order to make the identification of contributors easier, you must change your username or provide information detailing why your current name is not confusing.

To change your username, go to the page Wikipedia:Changing username and follow the instructions there.

If you disagree that your username is confusing, please let me know on my talk page. In that case, please explain why you chose this username and why you think it is not confusing. If we can resolve the issue through discussion, you can continue using your username. Alternatively, we can request comments from other Wikipedians at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names.

Please do not continue editing without choosing one of these two options. If you do so, administrators might unfortunately have to prevent you from editing in order to keep your username from appearing in article edit histories. Thank you.
