From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you.

Template documentation

Usage:

{{subst:uw-chat1}}
{{subst:uw-chat1|Article}} references a specific article
{{subst:uw-chat1|Article|Additional text}} adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"
  • This template has been carefully designed based on guidelines by the user warnings project.
  • For usage instructions regarding this template, see documentation.
  • Please discuss the general visual appearance of these templates (for example, the image in the top-left corner) on the user warning talk page.
  • Please refer to the index of message templates before using any template on user talk pages to warn a user. Applying the best template available for your purpose may help reduce confusion from the message you are sending.
  • Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:uw-chat1}} rather than {{uw-chat1}}.
  • This template uses a parser function. To give greater detail to your message, you may add the article name and some additional text to the end of the template.
  • Optionally, add |subst=subst: to the end of the template to reduce the code in the final output: {{subst:uw-chat1|Article|Additional text|subst=subst:}}.
