Uvwie is a Local Government Area (LGA) in Delta State, Nigeria.

It is one of the Urhobo Kingdoms and has a king, Ovie , who rules over the traditional institution of the town.

It is a gateway in and out of the city of Warri, and also a border town to Warri Airport in osubi.

It is a highly populated region and has Effurun one of its most populated area .
