Utsav Lal is One of India's Youngest Concert Pianists.
Born on 18th August 1992,Utsav gave his debut solo Piano concert in New Delhi,India at the age of 9 with a unique repertoire of Indian Music compositions.Currently based in Dublin, Ireland and oft referred to a child prodigy,Utsav is a certified Grade 8 Western Classical Pianist from Trinity School of Music, London.
Utsav’s strong Indian roots drew him to the Power of Ragas and led him to be the first Indian musician to experiment with Indian Classical Music on Piano. Utsav’s creative expression of Moods and Emotions of different Ragas in the soulful sound of the Piano has been critically acclaimed and his recreation of Indian film compositions on Piano have held enraptured audiences.Utsav's Raga Piano Music has earned him the name of the Indian Raga Pianist.
Featured in the Limca Book of Records, 2007 at 14 yrs of age,Utsav has performed over 55 Piano Concerts at prestigious venues all over India & Internationally, the recent ones being at the Nehru Centre,London on Feb 13th, 2007,Airfield Arts Centre,Dublin on Mar22nd,2007 & at India Habitat Centre,Apr3rd,2007,One World Music Evening for World Mercy Fund(May 13th),World Refugee Day,Dublin (June 20th)Festival of World Cultures (Aug 26th,2007),India Habitat Centre, New Delhi(25th Nov 2007), National Concert Hall, Dublin (18th Feb 2008)& Surdhwani,Wolverhampton,UK (Mar 29th,2007).
Spellbinding original compositions based on Indian Classical Ragas have endeared Utsav to music lovers of different nationalities & creeds.Utsav Lal,as a young artist has supported various causes & organisations like National Assn of Blind,Make-a-Wish Foundation,Spastics Society,World Mercy Fund with his exceptional music talent.
He now is currently in a band called the "Little Green Cars" who have earned themselves quite a popular name. Winning many competitions and other events he and the rest of the band who names are Adam O'Regan-Vocals/Guitar,Stevie Appleby-Vocals/Guitar,Faye O'Rourke-Vocals/Violin,Utsav Lal-Keys,Dil Lynch-Drums,Donagh Seaver O'Leary-Bass,Aoife Kelly-Violin. Putting them all together with there tools of the trade make a fabulous and fresh sound which if you have heard them you must agree!
