I was born in a village in West Bengal, and grew up in Kolkata. I was fortunate enough to be taught in my high school by a few outstanding teachers who imparted in me a sense and taste for both science and literature. My basic degree is in science, and after the university education I have worked in the field of software, communication, and computer. I work on my own now, and when I am not consulting, devote my time to various social issues I am interested in, one of which is science and science education for middle and high school students as well as for adults.
