I prepared an article under this title offline, then found the article had been started in the meantime. I have taken a somewhat different approach to the subject. How can I propose my different approach and include the existing information? Shall I include my article in this discussion page? I can't find out how to contact the author. This major rewrite includes much more information about the Sleeping Ute. I did my best to merge the original article into a more extensive one. I hope this is seen by the original anonymous author as the thoughtful merge I intended.

This is my first wikipedia article. My interest in the Sleeping Ute is due to it's prominent place in the view from my house. The photo was taken from my deck. The exercise was a very good excuse to learn more about this amazing regional landmark.

I can be contacted at chris@foran.net.

I re-edited the first sentence/paragraph for easier reading. Added a few other things (base altitude, isolation, etc)
