Talk:Ute Lemper
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I originally added the review below because it came from a recognized source and managed (even in the title of the review) to convey some of the flavor of the artist. If published review excerpts are deprecated (That was not, in fact, the complaint of the editor who removed it) because they are Non-NPOV, this should be a stated policy. Honestly, I don't know if that is so. As the article stands now, it gives no indication of why anyone would pay money to hear this person live. Does that make a good encyclopedia article? "The German-American spitfire Ute Lemper sashayed onto the stage ... to give the latest edition of her continually evolving course in comparative song literature ... she is a confrontational entertainer and heir to the political cabaret tradition of Weimar-era Germany. ... a vamp prowling under a full moon, driven to the brink of madness, yet in complete control."
