[edit] Route description
From its western terminus in Francis, the highway runs southwest until the junction of Soapstone Basin Road, where it turns south. Afterwards it heads in a general west direction until Hanna, where it again turns southwest. After a while it straightens out to the west until the eastern terminus near Duchesne.
[edit] History
When the first incarnation was formed in 1910, the route went from Wanship to Duchesne. In 1914 it ran from Stewart's Ranch to Stockmore, then from Stockmore to Tabiona in 1927. In 1931 SR-35 went from Tabonia to Duchesne.
In 1953 the route was given a less vague description, going from SR-4 (now I-80) to US-6. By 1964 the eastern terminus was truncated to SR-87. In 1977 the western terminus was relocated to US-189. SR-35 was deleted twelve years later in 1989.
In 1990, the route was reincarnated. In 1992, the current routing, the western terminus was changed to SR-32.[2]
