State Route 252 (abbreviated as SR-252) is a highway that runs more than six miles (ten kilometers) in Cache County in the northern Utah city of Logan. The route goes from its southern terminus of US-89/US-91 and heads on a northerly path through the west side of Logan. The route's northern terminus is at US-91.

Prior to 1969, State Route 252 was the designation given to a route that was the main street of Myton, a town in east-central Utah.

[edit] Route description

From its southern terminus with US-89/US-91 on the southwest side of Logan two blocks west of the Logan River Golf Course, the route heads due north via 1000 West. The route remains on this path until 1000 West terminates south of the Logan-Cache Airport, where SR-252 turns east on 2500 North. The route continues on this street for ten blocks before it terminates at the intersection of US-91.

[edit] History

The first SR-252 was established in 1963. The route formed a sort of a loop around what was then US-6, which is now US-40.[3][4] This designation of SR-252 was deleted by the Utah State Legislature in 1969.[2]

The current SR-252 was formed in 2007 with its current route. Since its formation, the route has not changed.[2]
