Utada Hikaru Single Collection Vol. 1 is a compilation album by Utada Hikaru, released on March 31, 2004. It features all of her hit singles to that date, and was remastered by Ted Jensen. It was the #1 selling album of the year in Japan[1] (her fourth consecutive time accomplishing this particular milestone, a record for a group or solo artist in that particular territory), and was the 10th best-selling album of the year by a female artist worldwide as well as the twenty-eighth overall best-selling album of 2004 in the world, according to Media Traffic's year-end chart[2]. This is Utada's longest charting release on any Oricon chart, with a 2 year trajectory and still growing. Utada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL.1 is the 37th highest selling album in Japan of all time [3].
