USS Chesapeake

Five ships of the United States Navy have been named Chesapeake after Chesapeake Bay, the body of water along Maryland and Virginia.
- The USS Chesapeake, a 36 gun frigate, was launched on 2 December 1799 by Gosport Navy Yard and commissioned early in the following year.
- The sloop USS Chesapeake was renamed USS Patapsco in 1799 while still under construction.
- The USS Chesapeake, a training ship, was renamed Severn on 15 June 1905.
- The USS Chesapeake (ID-3395), a freighter, was launched in 1900 by Harlan and Hollingsworth in Wilmington, Delaware and purchased by the US Navy on 31 August 1918.
