English: Naval Support Activity, Bahrain (Apr. 24, 2003) — The mine warfare ship, USS Cardinal (MHC-60) returns to her homeport at Naval Support Activity Bahrain after 45 days at sea conducting mine clearing operations in the Northern Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
