Description
English: San Diego, Calif. (May 3, 2004) — Adm. Walter Doran, Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, presented the officers and Sailors of the guided missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG-59) the 2003 Spokane Trophy award. Princeton was awarded the trophy after displaying overall excellence in surface ship combat system readiness and warfare operations during work-ups and missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). The actual Spokane Trophy is made of 400 ounces of silver and is valued at $4 million.
