Caption: "A US Navy (USN) LANDING Craft-Air Cushion (LCAC) craft, approached the beach at Samesan Royal Thai MARINE Base, Thailand, as two US MARINE Corps (USMC) CH-53E Sea Stallion helicopters assigned to MARINE Heavy Helicopter Squadron 462 (HMH-462) fly over head. In the background the US Navy (USN) WHIDBEY ISLAND CLASS: Dock LANDING Ship, USS FORT McHENRY (LSD 43) and an unidentified utility craft lie off shore. All part of an amphibious assault exercise conducted during Exercise COBRA GOLD 2002.
