Many people mistakenly assume that because NASA is part of the United States Federal Government, that all images from NASA fall under the public domain. This is untrue for many images, most notably those from the Jet Propulsion Lab.

Which is displayed as:
This image is copyrighted by the NASA/Caltech Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The JPL allows anyone to use it for any purpose, provided that the copyright notice Courtesy NASA/JPL-Caltech is displayed. |

When a JPL image is displayed, the copyright message should appear under it, using the following text as an example:
