USI Championship
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The USI Championship is an annual golf tournament for professional women golfers on the FUTURES Tour, the LPGA's developmental tour. The event has been played since 2004 in the Concord, New Hampshire area.
The title sponsor since 2007 is USI New England, a multi-line insurance broker with headquarters in Manchester, New Hampshire.[1]
The Tournament is a 54-hole event, as are most FUTURES Tour tournaments, and includes pre-tournament pro-am opportunities, in which local amateur golfers can play with the professional golfers from the Tour as a benefit for local charities. The benefiting charity from the USI Championship is Havenwood-Heritage Heights' Resident Support Fund.
Tournament names through the years:
- 2004-2006: Laconia Savings Bank Golf Classic
