[edit] Red Link Recovery
Thank you for your work on the red link recovery wikiproject. Just a couple of suggestions...
- Please make sure that if you are changing or redirecting links that they are to the correct person. Your redirect of Don Fergusson made a redirect from an Australian police detective to a Canadian actor.
- Please make sure that the link you're redirecting needs to be redirected. Because Wikipedia changes so rapidly, many of the links have already been fixed. When you click on a red link, click on the "what links here" section in the toolbox on the lower left of your screen. This will tell you if there are pages other than the red link project that link there. If there are no other pages, you don't have to worry about it.
- After you have corrected or redirected an article, please remove it from the page, rather than striking it out. Strikeouts should be reserved for articles that you CAN'T fix.
- Please make the red link into a redirect only if there are several misspellings of the same name. If there is only one, please just change the spelling on the page that links to it to the correct spelling.
For more details, please see the text at the top of each page of the project. If you have any questions, please post on my talk page. Thanks again for all your help! Dana boomer (talk) 13:55, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
