Useless Loop is located in Western Australia near the more well-known locations of Shark Bay Marine Park and Monkey Mia. It is home to a solar powered salt and gypsum mine, which has been in operation since 1968 and whose salt is called the purest in the world.[1] Useless Loop has come to prominence in recent years due to the relocation of endangered species.[2]
