Template talk:User zh-4

Alright, there seems to have a different usage of the phrase between Mainland and other Chinese speakers. I will be happy to see an alternative phrase be proposed. Before that however, 道地 will be more proper than 地道, since the latter has another meaning of "underground tunnel" which will be kinda funny if implemented. -- G.S.K.Lee 09:42, 14 August 2005 (UTC)

- Okay, than the template will remain like that for now, until an alternative has been proposed. -- G.S.K.Lee 10:28, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
I have searched in both the mostly used online dictionaries of Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, the term 道地 is included in both of them. Plus the discussion in Chinese Wikipedia have reached a conclusion stating that both 道地 and 地道 are standard terms in use, I decide to change the term used on this template from 地道 to 道地, since the latter one is less ambiguous. -- G.S.K.Lee 08:43, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

- "地道" is the standard Mandarin Chinese, which is how it is used in the North. Edipedia 17:27, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Simplified Chinese first
Mainland Chinese is the majority. So simplified Chinese should be put in the first place. UN has decided not to use traditional Chinese anymore.
