[edit] sizing?
Is there a way to code the template to shrink the lefthand font appropriately to maintain the 45px box sizing? Otherwise, the fonts remain the same size, expanding the box out of alignment with the rest of the {{Babel}} templates. I know some of the Babel templates themselves are sized differently, like {{User_sgn-1}} and {{User_1337-1}} so as to maintain conformity with the rest of the {{Babel}} templates. — THOR 17:40, 9 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Redundant?
What's the difference between this and {{userbox}}? --Rory096 01:49, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- Having been created in late August 2005, this template was created as part of the babelbox system, and therefore pre-dates {{Userbox}} and the more recent use of userboxes in general. Specifically, it looks like this template is used to standardize the size and green colors for the native-level babelboxes, such as {{User en}}. Similarly, there's {{User blank-0}}, {{User blank-1}}, {{User blank-2}}, etc. to standardize the colors for the other user language levels in babelboxes (as in {{User en-0}}, {{User en-1}}, {{User en-2}}, etc., respectively). I suppose these could probably be re-implemented using the standard Userbox template, but I don't think there's good reason to since the current system is more babelbox-specific and seems to be working fine. — Jeff | (talk) | 10:31, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- I created these based on the {{user en}} series. {{userbox}} offers more flexibility but substitutes poorly (it leaves in all sorts of unnecessary logic). Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 04:25, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
