The University of Southern California Trojans basketball programs are college basketball teams that compete in the Pacific Ten Conference (Pac-10) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and represent the University of Southern California on the court.
Both teams began playing in the newly constructed Galen Center on the USC Campus in Los Angeles, California in November 2006. Previously they played for many years in the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

[edit] Men's basketball
The USC Trojans men's basketball program is currently coached by Tim Floyd. Other Staff: Phil Johnson, Bob Cantu, Gib Arnold, Rob Brooks, Rudy Hackett, Eric Perea.
Sam Barry coached the men's team between 1930 and 1950, interrupted by World War II service, and won the conference title three times.
This year, USC will feature guard OJ Mayo, from Huntington High School, who has been ranked by some as the best prospect of the 2007 recruiting class. He is, however, widely expected to jump to the NBA at the end of his freshman year. USC has also received a commitment from the son of Master P, Percy Romeo Miller, Jr.
Additionally, USC advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in the 2007 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament. This has not been accomplished since 2001 (second time since 1979).
This year, during the 2007-2008 season, the Trojans have the Kansas Jayhawks, and the Oklahoma Sooners at home. They will also play in the Anaheim Classic from November 22-25, 2007. Every night, USC will play a team from the Big Ten, Big East, SEC, and Big 12. Additionally, they have a return game against the South Carolina Gamecocks in Columbia, SC. Furthermore, the Trojans play in a neutral floor game against the Memphis Tigers at the Jimmy Valvano Classic in New York City. [1]
