Usakos

Usakos is a town 140 kilometres north-east of Swakopmund in Namibia. It is located on the B2, the main road between the coast and Okahandja, where the road turns towards the capital, Windhoek. Surrounded by mountains, Usakos is quite picturesque. There are several gasoline stations and banks as well as other city services.

Usakos is the closest town to the Spitzkoppe, often referred to as the "Matterhorn of Namibia."

Usakos is the junction of the branch railways to Tsumeb and the Angolan border, Outjo and Grootfontein from the line to Windhoek.
