Description
English: Aerial view of the John Rankin Lock and Dam on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. The lock is located approximately 6 miles (9.6 km) north of Fulton, Itawamba County, Mississippi, USA. The lock and dam were constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as part of the Tennessee-Tombigbee project to provide barge navigation between the Tennessee River and the Gulf of Mexico. View is upriver to the north.
