A business U.S. highway route marker as used in the state of Maryland, modified from Image:Maryland US business route template.svg, which follows the specification at [1], own work.
The font on this image uses the narrower C series rather than the standard D series as the D series looks unusually wide on this particular shield (and possibly any others that do not contain a 1).
