Ursuline Academy is a four-year college-preparatory private girls’ Catholic high school founded by the Ursuline sisters of Brown County, Ohio in 1896. Current enrollment numbers 659 students from all over Greater Cincinnati (representing 50 different zip codes).
Ursuline offers a curriculum of more than 100 courses. Thirty-two different co-curricular activities are available to students including ten different sports at various levels.[citation needed]

[edit] Modular Schedule
During the 1970s, Ursuline switched to a modular schedule. This consists of 6 days (lettered A-F) each with 18 "mods". Each mod is 20 minutes long, with a three-minute passing time between each one added in 2004. Classes are either two or three mods long (43 minutes to an hour and six minutes).
