Ursa Major is the upcoming fourth studio album from San Francisco Alternative Rock band Third Eye Blind. Originally, it was titled The Hideous Strength, after C.S. Lewis' book, That Hideous Strength, however, recent reports have shown the name of the album has been changed to Ursa Major. [1]

No official tracklisting has been released; however, Stephan Jenkins and Tony Fredianelli have both said that several songs being played at recent shows will be on the upcoming album. These include:

  • "A Sharp Knife"
  • "Bonfire"
    • Appears now to be called Campfire[2][3]
  • "Now I Don't Know"
  • "Summertown"

[edit] Album delay

The album has been in the works since shortly after 2003's Out of the Vein; however, Jenkins has been suffering from writer's block and was not able to finish the lyrics until recently. The band will head into the studio in May to finish recording. [5]
