Talk:Ursa (comics)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I think this article should be returned to Ursa (villain) for the simple reason I don't think Ursa ever was a comic book character; the equivilent character in the comics was named Faora. Daibhid C 20:27, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
I agree. Ursa never appeared in the comics. She was only in the films. Dmwc
- Of course, as has been noted, that has changed in 2006, as film director Richard Donner is now co-writing Action Comics and brought the movie versions of the Phantom Zone criminals to the comics.
- However, I do wonder about the statement (both here and in the Faora entry) that Ursa was undoubtedly based on Faora. Apparently, Faora's first appearance was in 1977, the same year that Superman I and II were filming. Surely the film's script would have floated around DC Comics by that point.
