Shieldtail Earth Snake, Uropeltis petersi, is a species of snake. Distribution: South India (Anaimalai Hills (4,000-5,000 feet).) Type locality: Anamallays, 4000 feet". Named after Wilhelm Peters (1815-1883), German herpetologist.
This snake is also called the "Shieldtail Earth Snake."
