Urban Planning College (Ecole)

Urban Planning College (French:Ecole superieure d'amenagement et d'urbanisme) is a University in Ethiopia. It was founded in 1960s by the bilateral agreement between the French and Ethiopian Government.

It was intended to train higher technicians serving Ethiopian Municipalities. In early years of its establishment French was medium of instruction, later was taught as a credited course. The college was known for its unique multi-disciplined training in architecture, planning and civil engineering.

In 1996 it was incorporated within the Ethiopian Civil Service College and renamed as the Faculty of urban studies. Since then the faculty has organized itself under Ethiopian civil service college to continue its central role in the development of Ethiopian urban areas.
