Urban Ahlin

Urban Ahlin, born 1964, is a Swedish social democratic politician who has been a member of the Riksdag since 1994. He has been active in international politics for many years. He was until last election 2006 the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Swedish Parliament. He is now the foreign policy spokesperson for the main opposition party, the Social Democrats and at the same time deputy chair of the committee. He is known for his strong support for human rights and democracy.
