URBR

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

URBR, short for Underground Records Brasil, is a Brazilian electronic music record label located in São Paulo, Brazil

URBR was idealized and founded by DJ and producer Michel Palazzo who, along with musician Eduardo Ferreira, saw in the national market the necessity to open a specialized label that could better assist the Brazilian electronic scene. With the release of the vinyl First Level EP in October 2002, URBR was born. Currently the label has released more than forty Brazilian artists in EPs and mixed compilations, featuring Grace Kelly Dum, Michel Palazzo, Murphy, Julio Torres, Marnel, Marcio Zanzi, Oil Filter, Diego Logic, Mr. Gil, Fabrício Peçanha, Alex S and Ferris among others.

The goal of URBR is to work with famous artists, as well as new talents, in the intent to bring a quality product to the public and export the Brazilian electronic production. It seeks to professionalize the career of the new DJs and producers, with both an artistic and a press department active full time.

As a distribution and publishing company, URBR has over one hundred imported titles for distribution in Brazil starting the Summer of 2005, intending to integrate the national and international markets.
