In Uravakonda, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age. Nearest town is Guntakal. Uravakonda has good transport facilities connecting to Guntakal, Anantapur and Bellary (Karnataka).

Actually uravakonda is very beautiul place and because it is having a big stone is situated in the center of the town.This covers nearly 100 villages .It is famous for weaving industry specially silk handloom or silk weaving industry. It is politically active place.


ATM SBI only A historical place like Pennahobalam is near Uravakonda at a distance of 10 kilometers. It is well connected to district headquarters Anantapur (52 km) and Bellary (Karnataka, 55 km) by road.
