Urali gounder

Urali Gounders are sub sect of Gounder caste. They are populated largely in Trichy, Pudukottai, Perambalur, Karur, Dindigul, Salem, Sivagangai, Coimbatore and Madurai of Tamil Nadu State. Also, they are found with a countable numbers in Trivandrum and Iduki of Kerala, Bangalore of Karnataka States also.
The evidence for their origin and history are found in Pudukkottai, Manapparai areas. They have further sub-division in their community, which are known by "Nadu" & "Karai". In which, "Karai" is again a sub-division of "Nadu", as Nadu is determined with area.
