Why is this not merged with the main article -> tailings? Many aspects relate to tailings of uranium ore and other ores alike. (83.76.181.39 00:55, 12 June 2007 (UTC))

- 'Byproduct' implies a valuable good. Tailings however are a negative-value waste material. (83.76.181.39 00:55, 12 June 2007 (UTC))

- Tailings 'reservoirs' are more commonly called tailings ponds or impoundments. (83.76.181.39 00:55, 12 June 2007 (UTC))
