[edit] Pheonix Star etc.

Could you please add a note about which fictional universe your articles describe? (From which novel, show, game...)? And if you misspelled Pheonix Star and would prefer the article to be at Phoenix Star, just drop me a line and I will move the article for you (new editors aren't allowed to move articles). Happy editing, Kusma (talk) 14:57, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

Oh, and please give your categories more precise names. Category:Fleet Ships and Category:Current Crew could mean about anything, given the complete lack of context. Kusma (talk) 15:43, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
It would be nice if you could comment on my questions (you can do so here, I will be watching your page). Also, you might want to uncheck "This is a minor edit" for some of your edits, when you are doing more than just change spelling or formatting. See Wikipedia:Minor edit. I have listed the categories for deletion, see here. Kusma (talk) 03:21, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
Also please don't make lots of tiny articles who's only content is "more leater" or a repeat of the title. These will quickly be deleted. Instead I suggest the following: Write a general article about the fictional work and world these characters and ships appear in, explaining wether it's a book, a series, a comic or a movie and so on. Then you can add stuff about individual characters and ships and such, once the article gets to a deacent size you can split it up into lists of ships and characters, and if these lists get big enough you can again split them into articles about the individual items. You are in no way required to do it this way, but if you create a handfull of very very short articles right away chances are they will be deleted on sight. This is especialy true for fictional topics, so it's best to build a good "foundation" first to put things in the proper context. --Sherool (talk) 17:20, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

We are attempting to create an origonal site that shows what the future would look like should the Federation, as it is known now, be destroyed. Please forgive us, we are trying to learn how to use the Wiki, so that the data we have will be easier to research.

The Pheonix Star is one of the UPC's Star Ships. Hope this explains what we are attempting to do, and that it will be acceptable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by UPC Starbase (talkcontribs)

Wikipedia is not a free webspace provider. Since your articles are fictional and non-encyclopedic, they will probably be deleted (you can join the discussion at the "deletion" links on all your pages, though, and try to explain there). Kusma (talk) 17:24, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

OKay, thanks anyway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by UPC Starbase (talkcontribs)

Thank you for clearing this up, and, while Wikipedia is not the right place for it, good luck with your project! Kusma (talk) 19:31, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
